Summer 2026

Summer 2026 〰️

The Argo Summer Semester is a six-week-long multidisciplinary art program.

The program is intended for all students of arts and culture.

This includes college students on a study abroad semester, students on a gap year before university, or independent scholars unaffiliated with an institution.

〰️

The next edition will take place in July 2026 in Greece.

The exact location will be announced soon - stay tuned.

It will start on June 25, and end on August 1.

The semester features in-depth art classes taught by experienced professionals.

These classes will be delivered by our amazing faculty — all working artists, academics, and experts in their fields. Our classroom environment is challenging but supportive, emphasizing process and experimentation.

Each semester, we choose a selection of classes from our curriculum. For the Summer 2026 program, we will offer classes on:

Thinking Through Drawing

Contemporary Art Contexts

Syncretic Histories

Performance and Movement

Painting

Cultural immersion and self-directed creative exploration

In addition to these classes, students are encouraged to take part in a range of other activities, including:

〰️ Genuinely independent studio practice 〰️

〰️ Excursions to cultural and historic sites 〰️

〰️ Weekly group critiques 〰️

〰️ Shared meals 〰️

〰️ One-on-one mentoring with teaching staff 〰️

〰️ Professional skills workshops 〰️

The design of this program is inspired by historic art movements, like the Bauhaus.

We have a truly holistic approach to education. At Argo, spiritual and physical health is just as important as learning new art skills.

We believe every gathering - whether a taught class or a shared meal - is an opportunity for creative exchange and learning. Each course and conversation contributes to the next, creating an interdisciplinary environment that respects and promotes each student’s artistic vision.

The semester culminates in a group exhibition in a gallery space.

At the end of the program, all students are invited to exhibit their work at a local gallery.

Students will leave the semester with new practical and professional skills, a portfolio of new work, a printed catalogue of the final exhibition, college credit, and a network of creative peers.
